Aladdin | The Musical
After the huge success of The Lion King, Disney has created another brilliant musical in the form of Aladdin. Everyone knows the story, everyone has watched the film and now everyone needs to see the West End show.
Spoiler Alert!! This is as amazing as Lion King…if fact it might even be better. The Lion King blows you away with the animals and costumes but Aladdin blows you away with the music, the cast and The Genie.
Staged at the Prince Edward Theatre which isn’t far from Leicester Square, the show itself runs for about 2 and half hours which it certainly doesn’t feel like.
This should be suitable for anyone over 7/8 years old, the one point to mention is during one part there is a loud bang for one of the scenes. The whole performance is full of singing, dancing and funny moments.
Each member of the cast plays their role perfectly and this changes from time to time but we saw it when Jade Ewen played Jasmine. You make recognise her from representing the UK in Eurovision or her time in the Sugababes but this role is without a doubt where she’ll be remembered from.
The real star much like in the film is Genie and it’s played by the wonderful Trevor Dion Nicholas, having been in various shows in America this is his West End debut and what a debut it is.
As you’d expect with a show like this tickets can sell out quickly. If you want to go and see this show we’d recommend booking earlier so that you get the pick of the seats for the ultimate show experience.
Tickets can be booked from Aladdin The Musical website.
