Fruit Picking #CountryKids

Every summer we always try and take the girls fruit picking and Aly has been going on about it for the past month so last weekend we actually managed to go and here is our little tale.

The usual place that we go had actually run out of fruit??? But luckily we found another little place near by that said they had limited fruit so off we headed.

Picking is all in the preparation and as it wasn’t the nicest day, waterproof coats were needed (maybe we should have actually worn boots too!)

Aly picking

Aly it turns out is a expert picker and was getting stuck in. She tells me it’s all in the colour and squashability.

Mia Picking

Mia was pretty keen to give it a go and helped pick lots but she was quite happy walking up and down looking cute.

It’s always important to make sure that above all when picking fruit to make sure your hair is fluffy and curly so that’s exactly what Mia was doing.

At the end of the picking it is also important to put all the efforts together and make the little one carry and eat them.

The house I grew up in had a 1/4-acre orchard at the back; fruit-picking was a major part of our lives! At our old house we had tons of blackberries & from as soon as he could walk Jake especially was an expert picker. We all miss it.

    Great post & great pictures

I loved fruit picking when I was little. I need to find somewhere near us to go with the kids. Mia is very cute!

Two of the cutest fruit pickers around! I’m glad you managed to get some and the children weren’t disappointed – thanks for sharing your outing with Country Kids.

We’ve been looking in vain for somewhere to do fruit picking this year and not found anywhere! Ah well, it’ll soon be blackberry season and we have our bowls ready. Your girls look like they’re loving it
